I photographed this
13,000-square-foot home built circa 1914 in the style of Louis XVI for the Wall Street Journal, which ran as an online and in-print feature.
The historic home was purchased by Russell Jackson, who relocated from his modernist lifestyle in Manhattan ten years ago to the Central West End, an artsy urban neighborhood in St. Louis City near Forest Park, where the 1904 World's Fair was held.
Besides showcasing Russell's beautiful collection of artwork, the home is where he often entertains for fundraisers and impromptu neighborhood gatherings. Russel worked with interior designer Jimmy Jamieson to bring life back to this guilded mansion.
Russell and Alex made this a photo shoot I will always cherish.
